Market Update for April 27 2011

By chrisking • April 27th, 2011

March 20, 2011: a day that I will always remember.  I’ll remember it for more than the monsoon-like weather, driving rain, gusty winds and claps of thunder in Los Angeles during the LA Marathon, though.  I’ll remember that day as a day of pride and gratitude: pride in the Beit T’Shuvah Marathon Team that I coached, and gratitude for the many amazing sponsors who donated to the “Save a Soul” campaign.

Most of the 16 runners that ran for BTS that day are recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.  They took on a challenge to live healthy lifestyles, and they took on a challenge to participate in and complete an event that challenged even the most seasoned marathoners.  As the coach, I saw lives change for the better for our runners this year.  And I would like to take the time to thank the following individuals and companies who helped to make our “Save a Soul” campaign a huge success:

Keith M. Jones, Marina Tae Kwon Do; Lisa Margulies, JPMorgan Chase; Dannie Cavanaugh, Cavanaugh Realty; Joe Davidson, Davidson Plumbing; Cy K. Pierce, Cy K. Pierce CPA; Kathy Haworth, Beauty at the Beach; Chuck Perelman; Don Trepany, Trepany Chiropractic; Danny Bensimon, Venice Printing; Oshri Hakak; Liza and Dakotah Flowers; Adam Bar, New York Life; Victoria Espino; Allan Erdy Escrow; Hal Hanslmair, Harold Hanslmair Insurance Agency; David Levy, David Levy Attorney at Law; Paul Neill, Liquid Design; Phil Tangalakis, Tangalakis and Tangalakis; Cynthia Wood, Beyond Physical Therapy; Wendy Taylor, Taylor and Scott; Carmela Raack; John Cluff, Millennium Computer Services; Tim Messmer; Joan Meritt, Heritage Makers; Bob Ferrol, Keller Williams Realty; Teresa Agnew, Gifted Creative Marketing; Carmen Portnoy, Merrill Lynch; Al Knobloch, HK Wealth Management.

Thank you to all of these amazing sponsors.
